suggestions:

  • carousel:11 months past due. what does 31 look like? (suggestions, commentary, where do you turn in the blinking red chip?)

  • at work snacks?

  • stuck in traffic suggestions?

  • state taxes?

  • how much of you do you put on your desk? like maybe a big piece of artwork
  • or?do you flaunt your good looking badge pic?

  • how long should the new adjustment period be exactly?

The adjustment period (from unsure about everybody to outright loathing) should take only about two weeks.

ranunculas. sweet.
gradually move your stuff in. but no more than will fit in one box that you can carry out.

Bring interesting items, but not necessarily revealing all that you are. They are not necessarily worthty of knowing the real you.

I don't know, the adjustment period for me, considering new job, new routine, new information, new vocabulary, coworkers, tasks, driving route, email address, schedule, environ, etc: three to six weeks.

Sunflower seeds for a snack? Perhaps some string cheese? I'm trying to think high-protein.

And I feel you have to make your desk your little home, even if that's dorky. It's about creating an eye for yourself in the middle of the storm. I agree with the one-box rule though, too, just for the sake of efficiency. Make it work!
