- Skin on foot, when after airport security check (return trip), stupidly unfolded stroller w/o shoes
- Piece of crap carseat rustled up by National car rental agency after mere hour of searching
- Spirits, after missing brother's wedding.

I almost started to cry. You missed it? That's so, so terrible! I'm so very sorry!!
[deep intake of breath] oh no! I can't even begin to imagine how you are coping with all of that! Hope you made it to the reception (?!) at least and got to let loose with family and drown your sorrows in a well-deserved glass of wine, perhaps even with a sprinkling of tears. I hope.

I'm so sorry to hear you guys missed it!! Is there any remote possibility of them doing the ceremony all over again? Maybe you can take part in their 50th Golden Anniversary instead... I'm glad you guys made it home safely. Travel mercies indeed.
