for the hell of it

one more day of expected heatcrushing... temp still around 110 in the shade i swear.

insane things dad says now that we're up in "his" office. the only place with a/c when it's 98 in the house:
  1. "mom says she wants the temperature at 80." me: dad, it's @ 78. he turns off the a/c and goes down stairs.
  2. "put everything back the way i had it." me: no
  3. "why don't you go back downstairs?" me: no dad: "what, it's fine." me: then why don't you go and sit in 100 degree temps while you're trying to watch tv. ... silencio.

things missed while up in the high tower:

  1. cable tv
  2. bathroom (it's a long trip i'm telling you)
  3. easy access to the refrigerator.

things done:

  1. read "island of blue dolphins", a bit repetitive but captivating, and what?! based on a true story about a girl and an island off s.Cali? Get outta here!
  2. 2/3 done with skirt alterations.
  3. movies watched: dawn of the dead, jim henson story tellers, some movie in spanish about flowers, gaudy night, disc 5 freaks/geeks, rent (did NOT like), dark waters...

I almost went to the movies yesterday to beat the heat, but ended up sweating it out. My pick probably would have been Harry Potter, since it was the longest and I still haven't gotten around to seeing it.

The heat in the house almost seems worse when coming back after that thoug.

80 degrees! That's the highest recorded A/C setting ever used by humans.

Dear Kurt.
Please help us keep our cover, in truth we are not humans.
