Dear Penelope,

i wandered thru the garden and the butterflies were fluttering too fast but I did manage a few snaps. Including a giant mutant spider eating flies and a brown preying mantis that was wandering around on the grass and i put back in the mint where it belonged, oh and a mocking bird and my cat marley. enclosed please find the following pictures:

What the hell kind of spider is that?? The praying mantis looks rad against its backdrop.

The mantis, though set in the mint is apparently shown sitting on the artisima (sp?).

its generally known as an "orb weaver spider"... its a female. thats alllll i know. and i do like if you see the hi-res of this- the back looks like a little happy face on the spider- sort of reminds me of a coconut.

um millie, spiders are NEVER bad unless they are black with that you knowwhat on the belly- otherwise they eat insects, flies, gnats and tiny bugs of which are annoyances in the garden... lets never do that again shall we. *tsk.
