Random Notes on a Thursday Morning

I wake up to one cat growing at another. I yell, "ANIMAL!"... the offending cat bolts out the window. I go back to bed. A few minutes later i hear another grr, i see Animal creeping back thru the window ready to ambush the other cat again. "ANIMAL!"

I eventually get up, as whatever serenity i'd established is gone. I check my email, though i know in a matter of an hour i will check it again at work. But I cannot help myself. No one has emailed me- just supersaver fares from AA and Soutwest... and that word of the day thing, i mostly ignore. I do note that I have sold the VHS version of "adventures of robinhood" with errol flynn. I ignore it. I"m only making a $1 on that one. I check cnn. Nothing in the world is going on that i care to read about. I check the blog. Funny comments bruckner. Sigh.

I grab some frozen dinners and a plum. I pick animal hair off my top. I yawn. I run my fingers through my hair. I shuffle out the door. Gaze. Think about the car needing a bath. Drive on. I approach the onramp. But this one in particular no one ever stops at even if it's being metered. I have never found this to be true of any other onramp ever. And yet this one is a bastion of lawlessness. I don't get it. Usually if a car stops at the red, i'll stop but more often than not, a trail of cars just blows thru it and onto the freeway.

This is something I can't figure out. I note this is one of the only exciting things to occur to me in days. Besides pondering the fact that music evokes specific emotions consistently. But that's all i have. Just that sentence. Not a paragraph or a discertation of provoking prose. So I drive on, flip thru the music, think my, the traffic is good today, and yes indeed, it's going to be hot out there today.

  5. I just loaded up your blog. Having forgotten what I read earlier, I must say that at first glance, this post looks like it could be a transcript of a Muppet Babies episode.

    'ANIMAL'
